Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for Barbara Ostlund Fluid Art
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do you accept returns?
If your artwork arrives damaged during shipping, please contact me within 3 days of delivery with photos of the damage artwork and package. I’ll work with you to arrange a repair, replacement, or refund.
How long will my order take to ship?
Purchases are usually processed and shipped within 2–4 business days.
Note: Custom commissions take longer for the buyer to provide their specific criteria, for the 50% downpayment, for the piece’s creation, for the piece to dry, for application and drying of the finish, and to get the buyer’s approval and final payment. Barbara will provide a timeline before starting your piece.
How much is shipping?
Flat rate shipping is calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of your order and for the shipping type selected. Note: International shipping incurs additional costs based on the destination.
Which carriers do you use?
Barbara ships with USPS, UPS, or FedEx, depending on the size and weight of the artwork, your destination, and your preference. Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with tracking details.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! Barbara can ship internationally upon request. Shipping rates and delivery times vary by country, and customs may add additional delays. If you are outside the U.S., please contact Barbara before ordering so that she can give you details.
What if my package is lost or delayed?
Once your package is with the carrier, delivery is their responsibility. If your package is delayed or lost, please reach out to Barbara and she’ll help contact the carrier to sort it out.
Can I commission a custom piece?
Yes! Barbara loves creating custom artwork. In addition to the specifics wanted, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required before creation will begin, with the remaining balance due upon completion. Commissions are non-refundable since they are made specifically for the buyer. The buyer must approve the commission piece and pay the order’s remaining 50% and shipping prior to the piece getting packaged and sent.
Note: Barbara Ostlund Fluid Art may agree to return the 50% deposit price of a commission and keep the artwork for resell, at the sole discretion of the artist.
Do I own the copyright to the artwork I purchase?
No. When you purchase artwork, you are buying the original piece only. Copyright and reproduction rights remain with Barbara Ostlund Fluid Art. This means you may display or gift the artwork, but you cannot reproduce or sell prints without express permission.
How is my payment information handled?
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Barbara Ostlund Fluid Art never sees or stores your full card details — Stripe handles it using industry-standard encryption and fraud protection.
